IWLTA that I love all of my friends!

Voting update: Since Grex has been off the net for a full day,
the vote on the current proposal is extended at least through
Friday, June 23. (Possibly longer, depending on how long the
network outage continues.)

For more information on the proposal being voted on, type
vote or !vote , and see item 173 in the Coop conference
(item:coop,173).

IWLTA that the grex FAQ still reads that we don't take payments by credit
card. Just thought that someone should be aware of that.

Oh yes indeed. Thanks for noticing.

The internet connection is back up, and mail is flowing in.

UPDATE: Sunday, June 25 is the last day to vote on the member
proposal to depermit the scribble log. Run the vote program
(type "vote" or "!vote", depending on your prompt) for more
info; see item 173 in Coop (item:coop,173) for discussion.

(Voting deadline has been extended three days to compensate
for the recent network outage.)

The motion to depermit the scribble log failed by a vote of
14 yes to 19 no. See item #173 in Coop for more details.

ummm, w3m sure doesn't seem, or act, as well as lynx.

the directions, form typing w3m (nad no url) seem
nice, but the www.nytimes.com site is damn near incomprehensible
with this newer process.

#18 of 26 by trex on Mon Jul 17 21:16:58 2000:

you should install 'links', too, if you don't already have it.

#19 of 26 by gelinas on Mon Jul 17 23:57:12 2000:

What is "links"? Anything like 'lynx', which is already installed?

#20 of 26 by trex on Tue Jul 18 22:57:58 2000:

in the same way that w3m is like lynx.
http://artax.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~mikulas/links/ <- thats teh homepage,
it's not very impressive... but, I think it's an impressive program.

#22 of 26 by tod on Fri Jul 21 18:21:33 2000:

#23 of 26 by jerryr on Fri Jul 21 20:33:25 2000:

The Solaris installer will use disk slice, /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s1.
After files are copied, the system will automatically reboot, and
installation will continue.

Please Wait...

Copying mini-root to local disk....done.

Copying platform specific files.h...done.

Preparing to reboot and continue installation.

re 13: I'll give a "thumbs up" to w3m. I've taken to using it on my Linux
laptop when I have to use the 14.4 modem for dialup. :P One thing it's got
goin for it is that it manages to handle tables, and I think it's also got
rudimentary frames support. w3m also supports gpm, so you can point n' clink
your way through links. If you start it with the -v option, it should give
you a default start page.

Gotta love w3m. It is the only one I could find that uses libtermcap
instead of libncurses. I run it from a boot floppy.
