I always tell the newbies to send mail to "staff" about problems that require a root-capable person to take care of. Unless it's literally an emergency, like the guy who's program had filled 23 meg on one of the drives, in which case I say, "write steve". >8) (Assuming he's on.) I've even gotten a few help-seekers miffed at me because I wouldn't tell them who the staff were. (So they could pester them directly, rather than mailing staff.)
