Hi there, The Plex Project is attempting to network bewtween a few systems here in Ann Arbor and we might be adding one of the Plexii to the internet with it's own IP address. To do this I must get the TCP/IP running that came with the machine, thats the easy part, to complete the testing of this hard- software I need a network transceiver. If you have one (AUI to BNC) and are willing to -LOAN- it to The Plex Project for testing, please mail me here on M-Net or (root@plex-1) or call me voice 663-2247. Once we get everything running smoothly, we intend to purchase a transceiver for the project (either your loaner or off the net). Here is what we are work- ing on; _________________ | PLEXUS P/60 | EXOS 8010 TCP/IP Protocol Package |---------------| By: Excelan | 9 Track Tape | |_______________| Transceiver MODEM | - | ______ __________ _____ | Main CPU |AUI-----|____|BNC------BNC|________|CABLE--|___|--WORLD |---------------|15 pin | Disk Drives | IBM XT Running | | KA9Q & Thin Ethernet | | | | -O-------------O-

As far as the copper is concerned, I have it and will donate for the cause ........ 741-9884
Thank you, we'll keep your number handy!
Should have also asked what the characteristic impedance needed is?
For Ethernet, it's usually 50-ohm RG-58 (or RG-8 for thick Ethernet).
whoops, all my stuff is 75 ohm, darn, sorry - I have a couple of reels of cable in addition to what I had offerred - I'll check on which cable it +really+ is - maybe we'll get lucky ....
