Anyone know anything about dumping graphics/animations onto VHS? I believe it requires a card of some type that starts around $500. Is my info correct, is there any any other way of doing that, and where do I go about finding such things? Thanks!

Those machines were prohibitingly expensive about 10 years ago, now you seem to be pretty good with a $500 card, if that is all you need. Have you considered the CPU power you may need for creating the animation? I would look in magazines such as Byte or PC Magazine, I remember having seen some reviews where you could edit frames (add text etc.) and then dump on a video recorder.
You might be able to obtain an Amiga 500 for about the same price, and be able to manage both video output as well as having a second, fairly neat little computer.
You may also want to check out the Oct. 91 issue of Radio Electronics.
On page 33 there is an article on building a VGA to NTSC (TV) converter.
Complete kit with all the parts and software is $164. You may even be
able to buy it assembled from the same people.
