Your friend sounds like a PowerBook 160 kind of person.
perhaps, but win 3.11 and the right software will work too, i haven t seem too many powerboos (like, none) on the used market. the preference is about 51/49 for a pc laptop. any thoughts on the above?
The NEC has a nice active matrix screen, it's a 386 though. :-( I don't anything about the other models.
glad for the reinforcement on the NEC ... any other thoughts from anybody? thankxxxx
We have an NEC notebook (a low end 486) at work that I use a lot. It's nice in a lot of ways, especially the screen, but it's got the worst trackball placement I've ever seen. If I were going to buy a notebook I would probably buy a Toshiba, but since I don't have to pay for it I consider the NEC more than good enough.
