Grex Grexohio Item 33: grexers invadin gohio [linked]
Entered by freedom on Tue May 7 23:44:19 UTC 1996:

For anyone that might still read this once and awhile....:)
I just wanted to mention that Paladin and some other texan grexers will be
visiting around june the 22 & 23...
so clear you calenders..because I would like to give them the opportunity to
meet people all at once....instead of drving all over ohio!
thanks!
Any suggestions or ideas, e-mail me here at grex, or put them here.
I was thinking maybe a cook-out, kinda party or something could prove to be
entertaining!

#4 of 237 by carson on Sun May 12 11:45:27 1996:

that would be tres cool. I might even be there, since it's the day before
the beginning of Grexstock, and Columbus is on the way.

#5 of 237 by freedom on Mon May 13 23:58:29 1996:

#6 of 237 by dynamo on Tue May 14 01:05:53 1996:

tomsarrow>

#7 of 237 by sidekick on Tue May 14 01:16:53 1996:

I guess I have a kinda big backyard... if you don't mind the view of the cows
in the field behind us.... But the size of the yard isn't the problem (or
even the cows!). I have kinda strange parents.... :) Have you guys
set any dates or times yet?

#8 of 237 by frosh on Tue May 14 10:29:22 1996:

ha! you've got cows? hey megan! long time no see! yea, i have a backyard, it's
kinda spacey...but my parents would only say "hell no!" :) well, meagn, i'll
give ya a ring someday...bye bye

#9 of 237 by sidekick on Tue May 14 10:56:41 1996:

I DON'T have cows... but the people who have the field behind us do :(

#10 of 237 by carson on Tue May 14 12:49:15 1996:

don't panic yet. you have time. =)

#11 of 237 by cinder on Tue May 14 19:54:20 1996:

no can do for me, my parents would freak! (Not to mention that I'd *have* to
invite Keri, and then I'd make a lousy host for everyone else!) =)

#12 of 237 by dynamo on Tue May 14 21:32:41 1996:

mike youre parents would not freak .. you liar

#13 of 237 by cinder on Wed May 15 09:33:12 1996:

Um Yeah they would Jim...

#14 of 237 by frosh on Wed May 15 20:59:11 1996:

Ya know, I think Jim is actually right for once....if your parents are willing
to drive your gf back and forth...then why would they have a problem with a
party at your house? :) I dunno, I'd prefer it somewhere where everyone
agrees....Megan, u alive?

#15 of 237 by cinder on Thu May 16 09:56:19 1996:

Andy, driving me to pataskila once in a while to pick Keri up is comepletely
different from inviting a ton of people my parentsd have never met over for
a cook out! Now do you see the problem? =)

#16 of 237 by carson on Thu May 16 12:29:54 1996:

I've me... oh wait. I didn't. ;)

#17 of 237 by sidekick on Thu May 16 18:56:45 1996:

<Keri is over here wondering how on earth Andy managed to stick her in the
middle of all this>

#18 of 237 by freedom on Thu May 16 21:21:00 1996:

#19 of 237 by cinder on Fri May 17 00:17:01 1996:

Good question Keri, Megan I will try my best, just plan something and I'll
see what I can do. Anyone else in the mood to see some grexers? =)

#20 of 237 by carson on Fri May 17 14:27:10 1996:

I am. =)

maybe we should throw a party at Chuck E. Cheese!

#21 of 237 by sidekick on Sat May 18 01:34:56 1996:

Seeing some grexers? I think I could do that... :)

#22 of 237 by dynamo on Sat May 18 04:45:52 1996:

bball courts and tennis too :)

#23 of 237 by cinder on Sat May 18 11:51:44 1996:

sounds like a good idea Jim. Anyone want to take charge and plan this?

#24 of 237 by carson on Sat May 18 19:37:12 1996:

I can't. =)

Walt (justice) might come with me, and we might meet Mike (nephi) in
Columbus proper.

#25 of 237 by sidekick on Sat May 18 21:34:55 1996:

That DOES sound like a good idea, Jim :) Where is antrum park? Worthington?
Either way, I'm sure that Audra, Becky, and I could all find ways there :)

#26 of 237 by dynamo on Sun May 19 05:11:34 1996:

its is in worthington keri really easy to get to
so when is everyone comeing sdo we could plan a good gettogether get together

#27 of 237 by carson on Sun May 19 18:40:51 1996:

22 and 23 of June, I think. paladin's plan has more info.

linked to social.

#28 of 237 by freedom on Sun May 19 20:20:23 1996:

ahem, I'm in cahrge cinder!!hehe...but I don't want to plan things that are
not good for people...and since I have a little time, I'm biding my time :)
but, one thing/......
if let's say it should be a dreay forecast that day..then what?
I don't think everyone wants to stand in the rain, although I love mud
football!.heh, most girls wouldn't see it my way..I think...
mike, ya sure you're parens would mind having people over? ;)
it's no tliek some wild party, call it a "get-together"..a much more pleasant
word I htink!!!! hehehe
I kinda thought maybe Id have the "thing" the second day they're here, but
I need to figure out arrivl times and leaving times! :)
i think atrium park does sound good, although I have never been there...BUT
BUT!!
what about the park of roses (whetstone)....really pt er pretty neat place
tehre.....
I dunno..... :)
lets think of what to do if it e er rains....
thanks everyone!

#29 of 237 by cinder on Sun May 19 22:36:54 1996:

I'm fresh out of ideas. Check back around Wedsday so I can get my brain
working again =)

#30 of 237 by carson on Sun May 19 23:53:38 1996:

I'd volunteer my place, but that would defeat the purpose. =)

There's COSI. I haven't been there in ages, but that isn't really a
get-to-know-people sort of atmosphere. I had fun at the roller skating
rink. I don't know if I'd have as much fun at an ice skating rink. I'd
pribly cry because I couldn't make snow angels. (=

#31 of 237 by dynamo on Mon May 20 02:00:06 1996:

i talked to megan today and we talked about park if rosses and i think that
would (er i cant spell) a better p[lace because they have shelters and grills
and stuff we just needtime carson when you comeine?

#32 of 237 by rlawson on Mon May 20 03:18:56 1996:

It's getting warmer... I'm thinking miniature golf perhaps. :)

#33 of 237 by freedom on Mon May 20 21:42:47 1996:

minaure gulf maybe, but not to get to know someone...5h er that would work
anothr time, but I'm thinking osmehting simpler..(like cook-out, party)...
I agree COSI is a neat place, but not much of a social atmosphere either.....
and carson, how come i thought you lived in MI....?
ok, fo rnow i will look at the park idea.....
BIG QUESTION!!!! what is the most convinient time for everyone, mid-morning,
early afternood, evening, like around 6? This would help me a lot
if there is anyoen who you have noticed has not been here, and you think would
be intrested, I can call them provided i hace the #, they can call me , or
tell them to log on fo rgods sakes!
 :)
byr bye

#34 of 237 by cinder on Mon May 20 22:21:32 1996:

everyone has typing problems =) sometime after six I guess for me.. with band
and work this summer it will be a tad hectic though =)

#35 of 237 by carson on Tue May 21 00:15:35 1996:

Jimmy: I think the date is June 20th. I'm looking at the Friday and Saturday
around then; I'll leave for Grexstock on Sunday, most likely. I'm still
not totally sure, but if you all plan, I will come. =)

Robert: That sounds like fun for an ice breaker. Maybe go Putt-Putt and
then meet up again elsewhere?

Megan: I do live in Michigan. ;) I have a grandmom in Columbus, though.

Mike: You better be there. ;)

#36 of 237 by carson on Tue May 21 00:18:12 1996:

oops. Jim: it's closer to the 22nd. that's when paladin & co will be there,
and we really ought to plan for them. ;)

#37 of 237 by freedom on Tue May 21 02:11:29 1996:

heh, carson, we are planning fo rthem :) (oops, sorry!)
but if you want to han gout or something when you come, I'd be more than happy
to :) When are you coming again, the 22nd?
let me know, and carson, do you ever get tired of being in your bubble? :)

#38 of 237 by cinder on Tue May 21 09:54:05 1996:

I'll do my best Carson =)

#39 of 237 by carson on Tue May 21 11:52:14 1996:

Megan: I'll be there when Erik and company are. They'll be there
right before Grexstock, and I'm going to Grexstock, and Columbus is
on the way from Ann Arbor to Grexstock. Me, I think it's nicely
convenient to have all of that happen at once. =)

what bubble? ;)
