As an Ann Arborite encroaching on your cyberturf, I'd just like to announce that Toledo is rightfully Michigan's, and that the Michigan Militia will prevail in reclaiming it! Then again, I gather there's an Ohio Militia too...maybe we'd be better off playing a football game for it. In fact, wait a minute...would we really want Toledo? Never mind. Any of you southerners interested in swapping Detroit for Cleveland though? :-)
Too late, Rob. I have spent the last few days playing phone tag with several government offices but I finally pulled it off! We're keeping Cleveland but Toledo is yours!!! However, we'll still take you up on your football request. <evil grin> Sure, we can play football! <evil grin> By the way, did you *really* think we would trade for DETROIT???!!? C'mon! You should have known better! <g>
Hey, few cities have such a tremendous potential for improvement! Okay, got a new plan. How about we roll Toledo and Detroit into a new state (not sure whether to call it Deledo or Toloit)? I bet Indiana would offer up Gary too, creating an impressive little industrial strip through the rust belt. And if Congress balked, we could always bounce the idea off Ontario! :) (On a seriouser note, I wonder if those cities are actually bad for a state to have, or if they just have some really unpleasant areas in them? I'm not that familiar with Toledo, but I can't see how people live in some parts of Gary and Detroit.)
Just in case not everyone reading grexohio reads the coop cf, the
following discussion and vote took place at the Grex board meeting
on 23 August:
A. GrexOhio - The group of Ohio Grexers, known as GrexOhio, has requested
permission to use the name Grex. there was discussion of the question
of granting the use of the name "Grex" to this group. Some concern was
expressed about where the money would go that they collected as dues.
Rane wanted to adopt a club charter policy to cover this kind of
organization. We compromised on a resolution which grants the authority,
for the time being.
Motion: (rcurl, srw) The organization "GrexOhio" is permitted to ose the name
"Grex" in their name "GrexOhio", pending the adoption by the Cyberspace
mmunications, Inc/ board of an associated club charter policy, to which
GrexOhio will be required to adhere.
The motion passed unanimously 5-0.
cool...they like us and shit...
Thank you, rcurl, for updating the grexohio conference as to the discussion of GrexOhio at the last board meeting.
Welcome to Autumn!!!
Okay people, we are in the process of organizing a GrexOhio Ice Skating party (type thing) We are planning on it being at the OSU skating rink (unless renovations discontinue that, OSU also having more convience then the Chiller, time and distance wise..) We would like to here some feed back about dates and such that would be possible (Of course November 4 is out of the question ;). If you have any suggestions or such, please feel free to respond. Thank you, have a nice day (evening) (morning). Wendy Bugosh - Secratary of GrexOhio
oh shit sounds cool....only prob. is they don't play good music at the chiller and they don't play good music at the OSU rink. Note: My idea of good music is Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, New Country, and Jimi Hendrix..... Aw.....what the hell.....
I think we're looking at either Saturday, November 18, or Saturday, December 3. Please let us know what day would be best for your schedule. Thank you!
Okay, the weekend of the 18th has offically opened up, my play at school got canceled due to constuction in the little theater. <frown>
Further disucssion about this subject may be found in item 15 of this conference.
