Corel Painter 8 is finally out. They have also almost completely revamped the interface to look more like photoshops. I think they lowered their price compared to previous versions. The full version of Painter 8 is $299. You can buy the upgrade version if you have a registed version of photoshop, any previous version of Painter or a Wacom tablet, for $149. and the educational version is only $99. The Painter Classic came with my Wacom Intuos drawing tablet and its a great program, I think I'll buy the educational version. Does anyone else own any version of Painter? Is anyone here planning to buy it?

[legal notice] hmmmmm..... In order to not violate Section 17(b) of the 1933 Securities Act. I should disclose that I do own shares of Corel, however that in no way has influenced my opinion that Painter is a really cool software program.
well, Vector is making a buyout offer on Corel and I bailed..at a slight loss. But that's besides the point...I still like Corel regardless.
