In the last few days I've been going through sort of a metamorphosis.
I have discovered that I an not bisexual. I am gay. I was kidding myself when
I thought that I was bi, because it wasn't the honest truth. It's not like
I don't like looking or being in the company of women, I just can't imagine
myself ever being sexual with a woman. 
     I'm also more confident about my dressing. I've been wearing my bras
everyday, complete with the breast forms. I'm not ashamed anymore. It is mine
and I will be proud of this. I've been hanging out on PlanetOut but I'd like
to find some ftf support so I don't feel so alone. 
     I'm happy that I've been able to do this. I feel free. I've been coming
out to a lot of people in the last few days and it's been like a weight has
been lifted from my shoulders.

   I did something rather bold tonight, and completly unlike the old
me. First, I got rid of the mustasche. We won't be doing that ever
again. I think it makes me look stupid and it's easy to ignore your
personal hygiene as well. At least I'll need to shave everyday to
keep it off.
   The really bold thing I did was venture out to a honest to goodness
gay bar complete with lingerie and enhancers. I was scared at first, but I
noticed that everyone there was having fun and was just the same as me. I had a
coke, and played some pool and made a few friends. The one thing I didn't do
was get drunk. I am proud of the fact that I can still walk into a bar and not
drink or get drunk. 1 coke is my limit with the diabetes and all, so I switched
to H20 which was OK with the bartender. 
    I'm really growing and I see myself really sprouting. Of course
I'm going to be careful. 

Omni, do you think that you feel freer to express the true you because you
are now living alone, and can dress and act the way you want there?
Does anyone happen to know the dictionary spelling(s) of 'mustasche' (in
English)?  Seems like something you ought not to have if you cannot spell it
(I tried a few different ways and they all looked wrong - mustachio?).

"Mustache" is how I spell it, but it's one of the words that I'm never sure
I'm spelling right.  I don't use it often enough to worry about it....

Webster's says "mustache" or "moustache."

I always say "Moustache".

re 3- Yup. I didn't want to come all the way out when Mom was here 
because even though she might have been aware of it, I think it was 
better to let her think I might be then to confirm her worst fears. Now 
that she is gone, I have to live my life in the manner I see fit, and 
to tell the truth, I have to be who I am, and be true to my feelings. I 
cannot live for others anymore. Sooner or later this had to come, and 
I'm glad in a way it came now.

    I posted my transgendered page just today and I'd like you guys to 
look at it and tell me what you think. I really care what you *DO* 
think about it.

I read the page and it is, as usual, beautifully written.
Omni, why do you think you are transgendered rather than gay with a fetish
for women's underwear?  Do biological women get turned on by lacy underwear?
(Is biological woman the correct term?  Genetic women?)

Do you mean do we get turned on looking at it or wearing it?  It's all personal
preference.  Some guys like lacy underwear on a girl, and some don't.  Some
girls like wearing it because it makes them feel sexy, and some don't.  The
same can be said for satin, silk, cotton, etc, and then you figure in the cut
and style...  It goes on.  =)

Gypsi is right. 

 It's never been about the underwear or the clothes. They just help
the look as it were. Men have one choice, or had one choice, while 
women have millions of options, and that can be seductive. I feel 
something deep down. I've always been more feminine than masculine. I 
could go on but I have to do some other things today. ;)

Men now have lots of choices.  Boxers, briefs, boxer/brief things, thongs,
bikini, etc.  Satin, silk, cotton, flannel, etc.  

        I'd suppose it depends on the size, too.  Men's undergarments tend to
only get variety around the smaller sizes - there's much more variation for
women.

        Now explain to me this though - I went shopping with someone who was
a size *3* and she *still* couldn't fit into some of the dresses they had for
sale.  And she was a fairly twiggy 3.

Maybe they are all designed to be too tight, as part of the new look?

        There's definitely some waifishness in the media, which is fine with
me, as it's not what I prefer.

You just have to know where to shop.  Vicki's Secret goes up to an 18, and
Lane Bryant goes up to 26/28.

    This thing has me in a swirl about sizes. Everything is different. 
Shoes, bras, panties, pants, all have different sizes.

It's enough to make you dizzy.

say "the hell with it, gimme something I know I'll fit into."

Don't men's shoes and underwear also come in different sizes, or can you get
underpants in size 10 1/2 EE and slacks in 15 1/2 32/33?  Men are, by the way,
not the only ones who have trouble finding women's clothes that fit.

Lane Bryant's gotten better over time. Size 18 is still a ways from
"full-figured" though (in reference to Vicki's Secret).

Well, yeah, but it's Vicki's Secret.  <snort>

Omni - get used to it.  My size varies depending on the brand.  The only size
that stays consistent no matter what brand or style is my shoe size.  Seriously
- I have three different sizes in my closet right now that all fit.  I've been
trying to gradually go toward one brand (Venezia - carried at Lane Bryant)
since it's cut so well and my size stays fairly consistent.  You may want to
check out their selection.

I've never bought underwear there, and I'm not one to shop for sexy lingerie
since it makes me feel stupid, but I will advise that their bras *suck*. 
Vicki's Secret's bras last forever and ever, but they only go up to a ribcage
measurement of 38.

Ooh...good point.  I used to wear Docs (shoes and boots) regularly when I was
17-19.  Of course, years of living up north conditioned me to buy boots a
half-size larger in order to accomodate two or three pairs of socks.  ;-)  I've
just recently gotten used to buying them in my size again.

I'd have to say the sizing of men's pants is on teh mark ( assuming they are
correctly sized) take a tape measure around da middle and up your leg and
*POOF* there ya go..

now i still haven't a clue what shos use or even why shoes are different... oi
