The Ann Arbor Flower Show started last Thursday, and continues through tomorrow, April 6. I went on opening day, and will attend again later today. This is my first year attending, and I'm very impressed. Did anyone else see the show? Comments and observations are welcome here.

There's a big marketplace where nurseries and garden supply places are selling neat and cool things to susceptible showgoers, like me. My most wonderful acquisition on Thursday was a gorgeous blooming Bird of Paradise plant in a 3-gallon pot. Was a bit awkward getting it home, but I've wanted one of these for quite awhile, and it looks great in my livingroom. Got it from the Saguaro rare plant nursery booth. Really cool plants! I've never been to their nursery, but I plan to go soon.

The first coupla visits were fine for me, but after 3 trips I started to see the same stuff for the third time. My memory is better than that! I skipped this year, and maybe next year also. If you've never been, it's realy wonderful. You can see a lot of stuff that is in the catalogs piling up in the corner.
