The grex.org Gopher server seems to be having trouble. I was able to connect to grex.org:70 using the 'gopher' client while logged in to Grex today. If I can remembering correctly, I couldn't do this yesterday. Additionally, and perhaps more significantly, I have not been able to connect to grex.org:70 from hosts besides Grex itself. This is true both of yesterday and today. On a barely related note, I have lurked about Grex for a couple of years, and I hope it can survive. I have recently gotten back into Mac OS 9 "retro-"computing, and am currently logged in to Grex via SDF using the new ssheven ssh client for Mac OS 9: github.com/cy384/ssheven I like the slower, more thoughtful pace of computing that Mac OS 9 and the slower hardware (iBook G3 500 MHz) seem to impose. "A bicycle for the mind," not a street luge sled barreling uncontrollably down the hill. It seems that grex.org is also more on the "slow computing" side of things. Anyways, I don't know. Now that I'm completely off-topic, would token donations be beneficial for helping Grex keep going? With so many online services, I've not often donated, but I'm thinking maybe I should be more responsible going forward. Multas gratias, James
