(Copying this post from its original conference, intro.) Reading the documentation for the Backtalk system (http://www.unixpapa.com/backtalk/stab/doc/), I see the conference system is build on top of an interpreter for its own programming language, which is similar to Postscript or Forth. Is the interpreter accessible to ordinary users, either inside Backtalk or from the Grex shell? Can Backtalk Script Language be used to create our own BBS customizations, or general programs?

I don't think so. One can grab a copy of the software and write little programs in the language if one wants, but I don't think any of the extant interfaces allow you to program in it directly.
Thanks for the answer. I've tried building my own copy of Backtalk both on SDF and here without success yet, but I will keep working at it as I have time.
