TECO, the ancient, venerated and feared, line-noise-for-command-stream
text editor is here!
I've cloned and compiled the source for TECO-C, and put the executable
and four handy soft links in my ~papa/share/bin directory:
tecoc - executable
Make - create new file
teco - edit old file
inspect - view file read-only
munge - run a batch of macros
There is a survival guide at:

Try it if you dare!

I think the next thing to do is find source for EMACS. Will try that as a project, maybe.
Put it in the contrib directory?
resp:1 - Do you mean the original TECO macro Emacs? That would be a find, and completely unreadable source for sure. resp:2 - tecoc, teco, Make, inspect, and munge are all now in /cyberspace/contrib/bin.
resp:3 - If I can find a version of it. From looking online, there's a bunch of DECUS tapes that have EMACS -- but I think those are post-TECO EMACS. There might be an ITS system out there that has an EMACS tape though. I'll update this topic if I do find one.
