Move closer. Just kidding, sorry couldn't resist.
I believe your email address on Grex is randcode @ cyberspace.org. You would check it by logging into Grex and using the command "pine" or "mutt". You may see faster responses by using ssh, rather than telnet, and will certainly improve the assurance of the integrity of the information relating to your account, in that all traffic pertaining to telnet is subject to interception, whereas traffic used by ssh is transferred over an encrypted channel. You can find a great client for both ssh and telnet for Microsoft Windows (any version after Win95) available at http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/. Another good one is http://3sp.com/products/applications/unitty/unitty.jsp, which is automatically more portable by dint of being implemented in java (a language designed for portability). You will not automatically receive notifications of updates to fora via email, though you could, if so inclined, create a script or code to accomplish this. Welcome to Grex.
it gets easier .. (tm grex)
