This is the voting item. It is your opportunity to exercise
your right in an open society to have a voice in the
decision-making process.
So how do you vote? YES or NO?
46 responses total.
MAYBE
Unequivocally NO. Vocally NO.
I surmise from Rane's #1 that he's on the fence. Hopefully he will mull things over and come down on one side or the other, eventually. Thank you for the forthright response, Amy. But are you sure you have no doubts?
"Moderation in all things."
even opinions?
Indubitably.
YESterday.
...all my troubles seemed so far away...
what was the issue to vote on? (classical answer) IT DEPENDS
Hmph, more hedging. I'm disappointed by the turnout so far. Let's vote in large numbers and MAKE DEMOCRACY WORK!
Ah! Our Supreme Snordship has Spoken! We must all hurry to the polls and await His instructions on how to vote in order to achieve the balance and serenity which He has planned for our little corner of the universe! <i signals for a round of Ho-Ho's for everyone at the polls>
No no no, you have it all wrong. I've no instruction on how you should vote. It's your FREE CHOICE in a FREE SOCIETY.
I vote for pepperoni and black olive, or perhaps pineapple and yellow pepper. But no anchovies.
This "free" choice and "free" society thing sounds a lot like a "free" lunch. What's the catch, and how bad are we gonna get burned? Can we pay up front instead? Will orinoco get Limburger-stuffed-stone-ground- organic-hops-crust pizza?
Ah my -- the rationalizations people come up with for not exercising their rights at the ballot box. <snord sighs>
I vote for green peppers, mushrooms and onions. No meat please. Do we get soft drinks too if we vote?
I vote that we do, and rescind my former unequivocal NO on this point only.
Ah, it's good to see the electorate exercise their franchise. Keep those votes coming!
energizer bunny votes! they just keep coming and coming...
<i keeps busy stuffing fresh batteries into dead Energizer Bunnies and sending them back to the polls>
You, sir, are someone who takes his voting seriously. Kudos!
I vote for longer ears and a shorter work week.
You're wasting your vote unless they're willing to serve if elected.
Are they serving lunch or dinner? Will they serve breakfast after 11:30? These are important issues, mind you.
The Evergizer Bunny Cafe is 24-hour with a breakfast bar from 4AM to 4PM, but, except for the rattlesnake dishes, it's totally vegan. Be warned that the wait staff is *really* pushy - "we keep serving and serving and serving and serving..." is their motto. Oh, and it's all non-smoking.
Let's take a cue from that wait staff and keep VOTING and VOTING and VOTING and VOTING!
Okay. I vote for breakfast. At dawn. No champagne needed.
I vote for champagne bubbles, but no champagne. And a light breakfast of donut holes and chicken lips.
Bagels. REAL bagels, cream cheese and lox. And something non-carbonated. Maybe coffee. Cappuccino. No, mochaccino.
Maraschino?
And how will we pay for all this?
With our immortal souls. Any questions?
Voting is our sacred right. Ability to pay has nothing to do with it.
Of course we do not pay to vote. But we all pay for the results of our voting.
<i can't help but feel that #34 would sound more enigmatic if his understanding was better> "Holy bouncing Pyramids, Batman! It's a giant man-eating tofu!"
Charge it on...something. Somebody's gotta have a code... Are we ordering tofu for breakfast too? Or tartufo?
How about buffalo? Or Newport?
I registered to vote this past July for the first time. Maybe I'll even actually vote.
