Grex Enigma Item 296: By the Edge of the Woods
Entered by remmers on Fri Jul 18 19:58:51 UTC 1997:

I placed my bed by the edge of the woods, with the intent
of sleeping in it. But lo, the moon reached down and swept
it up into the heavens! "I shall keep your bed, I shall
keep your bed," cried out the moon, laughing.

As the snow collected on the top of my round head, I
recalled my incident with the sun sometime before. At
noonday it had tried to purloin my bed from the edge
of the woods, but had failed.

"Tis better to sleep by the edge of the woods at noontime
than at night," I thought to myself as I wandered away.

I don't know, sounds like a good excuse for a nap to me. Although, I am
thinking that the moon shouldn't be allowed to get away with this sort of
stuff anymore. I vote we protest! Who's with me?

I find this kind of humor extremely appealing.
