On April 5, 1978, Bruno Taft constructed a fragile wooden tower, supported on all sides by guy wires, in the South-West corner of his brother-in-law's cow pasture on the outskirts of Niles, Missouri. When the tower was complete, Mr Taft climbed the 30 feet to its summit, and said to himself, "I bet nobody's ever been *here* before!" He then climbed back down, dismantled the tower, and began rebuilding it 8 feet East of it's previous location.

You know, I bet nobody's ever responded *here* before. My, was that ever fun. Enter me another item, janc, I like this game.
Come on, janc! Tell us if he won the bet!
I do believe we're currently jancless.
as opposed to strongless?
The is no record that any person had previously explored that particular point in space before Bruno Taft arrived their on his tower, but this cannot be said with certainy. For example, there may have been a 30 foot tree at that location in some time in the past, and some curious Native American my have climbed it. Alternatively, a barnstorming pilot may have passed through it, while buzzing sheep. Primacy is difficult to authenticate. This may be the reason that Bruno proceeded to explore a wind range of other points 30 feet above ground level. In all probability he was the first to discover several of them.
Reminds me of exploring caves that have been quarried away. The *cave* is still there - it is just the walls that have been removed.
well, then...we could all be in caves at this moment....actually, the mind is like a cave...cold and damp and slimy, with jagged protrusions coming out of the ceiling and floor, and an occasional crushed beer can...
hmmm, a modern Mack's "Plato's Republic" maybe.. nah.. just big pimpin' and consumin'.
But the point Bruno attained had never been there before. When last it was visited, it was unmeasurable miles away.
