Grex Enigma Item 154: My Pal Jake
Entered by remmers on Fri Feb 18 04:32:27 UTC 1994:

Jake has been a real pal to me; got me out of more than one or
two scrapes, Jake did. I'm real lucky to have a friend like
Jake. Most people won't even give me the time of day, they
treat me like dirt and worse, but Jake, he helps me out and
treats me right. People don't understand Jake though, all
they see is a big rock out in the woods behind the house.

#15 of 58 by kami on Tue Mar 1 06:50:01 1994:

remmers, I rather like this, but I can't think what to do with it just now-
reminds me a bit of "Stanley and his monster" or some such.

#16 of 58 by remmers on Tue Mar 1 14:18:31 1994:

Hey, if you can't think of anything else, standing in awe is sufficient.

#17 of 58 by vidar on Tue Mar 1 19:54:13 1994:

<vidar stands in awe>

#18 of 58 by cain on Tue Mar 1 20:05:40 1994:

<cain contemplates a reasonable response>

#19 of 58 by kami on Fri Mar 4 19:31:00 1994:

Vidar, you stand in awe, I'll just stand in the shower as long as it's hot and
someone else pays the bill.

#20 of 58 by ziggy on Fri Mar 4 20:53:09 1994:

What if the pshycho guy comes and kills you in the shower?

#21 of 58 by vidar on Fri Mar 4 20:56:59 1994:

You mean me? I'm the only pshycho on this system.

#29 of 58 by vidar on Sun Mar 27 00:23:44 1994:

Will you insolent fools stop with the taste (congugation, and arrangement)
of chicken for Christ's sake (Odin, please forgive me for mentioning that
evil's name.)!?

#30 of 58 by vishnu on Sun Mar 27 07:18:53 1994:

Mmmmm... christ tastes like chicken.

#31 of 58 by vidar on Sun Mar 27 17:00:31 1994:

#34 of 58 by cain on Mon Mar 28 02:33:03 1994:

Dog, vidar, Dog.

#35 of 58 by kami on Mon Mar 28 21:14:25 1994:

Vidar, I keep trying to tell you- it's not Christ that's the evil, it's the
scumballs that co-opted his name and defile it with their bile.

#36 of 58 by vidar on Mon Mar 28 22:04:45 1994:

Okay... Whatever... I was drunk (from tiredness), remember?

#37 of 58 by kami on Wed Mar 30 16:56:01 1994:

uh-huh

#38 of 58 by vidar on Wed Mar 30 19:19:20 1994:

Actually, I wasn't drunk, or tired for that matter, at all.

#39 of 58 by orinoco on Thu Mar 31 14:46:43 1994:

Re#35: Christ was neither holy nor evil. He had an intelligent philosophy,
and said things worth remembering, but nothing more.
