Grex Cyberpunk Item 57: Picture of Marcus T Watts (and perhaps even some info!) in Wired Magazine [linked]
Entered by font on Thu Apr 24 00:58:43 UTC 1997:

Marcus T Watts's picture is showing up in Wired Magazine some time in the
future. Keep an eye out for it! I heard from an inside source that yes,
it *is* going to be there. There will also be some interesting stuff in there
about the history of one of our ex-BBS sisters, the Well. Bullitens posted
as events warrant!

Ummm that issue of Wired with the Well article is out, and I looked for your
picture, but couldn't find it... I thought I looked at every page, but
maybe I didn't look hard enough. Anyway you might want to check it out

Our Marcus Watts has a "D" in the middle.

He is mentioned in one paragraph, though. Not a very good mention, though.

Picture was not excepted. he had too much facial hair to wind up in wired.
(The only acce[ted geniuses excepted is those who resemble bill gates.
(in apearance and $$$$$)

bullshit. ever see the photo with John "Capt Crunch" Draper? Guy had no
pants on (standing behind this big silver sphere) and he's quite a hairy faced
dude.

maybe he was just too boring looking. seen one hippy coder, seen em all.

I met John Draper at a Picofest in 1985. A bit hairy faced as
I remember, but he *did* have pants on.

Did you know that he used to fairwitness a conference on
Arbornet? (Actually, it was a shared conference between
Arbornet, M-Net (then a separate entity from Arbornet), and The
WELL.
