I'm going to be putting up printouts promoting Grex at HOPE Number 9. At The
Next HOPE (two years ago), I had several people sign up from our vintage
computer display; however, some of them later expressed disiniterest because
verification took too long. I suppose that's a problem with our want-it-now
culture. Would it be possible to get account verifications through a little
faster this weekend?

Do you mean validation?  

Verification is apt to take longer due to the documentation
requirements. Even with a PayPal payment, we aren't seeing if the PayPal
account used is a verified account, that is, linked to a bank account,
so we can't proceed with a quicker verification.  Verification is thus,
a longer process.  Treasurers who don't communicate also slow things
down because they are the ones who can see the information we need to
okay a verification.

Validation, on the other hand, generally occurs within 24 hrs unless I'm
on vacation or otherwise tied up for several days.  Most validations
occur within a few hours, some within minutes, of the request.  And
note, it's not automatic.  The user needs to ask.

Yep, validation is what I really meant. I'll make sure to remind potential
users that they do need to manually request.
