*Meeting called to order at 7 pm.
*Present-Board Members: kentn, gelinas, unicorn, denise [quorum met]
            -Guests: mary, remmers

*Minutes of previous meeting approved.

*Next meeting scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 11, 6:30 pm at Big Boy s on 
Plymouth Rd in Ann Arbor

*Business:

  --Treasurer Status: gelinas will get keys made for the post office 
box; will post a report within a week.  There IS money in the PayPal 
account.

  --Federal Tax Form status: gelinas will take care of this within the 
next week.

  --Verification of Users Status: Kentn has been working on this as he 
can; treasurer needs to be working on this.

  --IRC Issues:  IRC is allowed but bots and bouncers are not.  Can run 
RoboCop to get rid of these bots and bouncers.

  --Grex s 20th Anniversary:  A picnic Potluck is scheduled at Island 
Park [in Ann Arbor] for July 24th [Sunday following Art Fairs] at 3 pm. 
 Thanks to Jessica Draper for planning this [Feel free to check out the 
Grex page on Facebook]. Also posted to the web page and in an item in 
Agora.

  --SSL Certificate: Certificate expired; this last one was set up with 
Godaddy by cross. A new account will be created and certified by kentn 
[and will be reimbursed].

  --By-laws change for staggered terms with 5 members:  Check bylaws.  
May need to set up 1 year as well as 2 year terms to better balance the 
terms. Set up a new proposal, discuss, then vote.

  --The Future of Grex:  -Need a current treasurer s report!  
     -Currently fixing problems as they happen, though the equipment has
     
been up and running for some time now.  
     -Could use people to step up and volunteer [but how will they be 
trained?].  
     -How many new members do we have?
     -As previously discussed, Telnet will be shut down by 1/1/12 [will 
be posted on the        
      web page as well as the motd.

*Status Reports:
   --Treasurers report will be posted within a week.
   --Staff Report: Machinery still up and running.
