Who s part of the governance? Can we get the tech. people involved in BBS, at least in the co-op conf.? Can we get a membership committee to contact these [invisible?] people and see if they ll contribute? And to publicize [a separate committee of volunteers, perhaps?]? --How can we be more responsive to some of the ideas that people are proposing? We need staff to be able to help... Staff to have the ability to allocate others to do help. Can we recruit help [in areas other than co-op]? -->Need to fix the web newuser! Dan has worked on a newuser program; can we get it up to test? Perhaps put it up on remmers freeBSD machine to test? When is newuser going to be streamlined? Vision [over the next 8 months or so] to build the membership [4-5 months?] and the platform [4 months?] --How can we set Grex up to make it easier to do the stuff we want to do? FreeBSD instead of OpenBSD? Other Operating System? Are we ready for a virtual system? --We need staff to be in communication. "must pay for 3 months to be able to vote." i was wondering about this - is it possible to pay a bigger amount and vote immediately?
The "must pay for 3 months" means that you're eligible to vote as soon as you've paid three months' worth of dues. If you pay it all tomorrow, then you become an eligible voter tomorrow.
thanks. makes sense.
