I've finally started to read Cerebus. I've purchased _Cerebus_, _High Society_, _Church and State I_ (just bought II; will pribly finish it tonight), and _Jaka's Story_. I'd also read Cerebus #0 and the World Tour 1995 Book, in addition to the TMNT story and Spawn #10. :) I've also started to collect the monthly issues, beginning with #200 (#202 came out this week; it felt light and, sure enough, there's only 22 pages. hmm...). If you haven't read Cerebus yet, run, don't walk to your nearest comic store. If you're a comic fan, go ahead and start with _Cerebus_. If you're not really into comics, go ahead and start with _High Society_. I'll tell you why later. Simply consider me one of the converted.

I started reading Cerenus with issue 92, which came out in 1987 if memory serves. I've been reading it fairly regularly (depending on my income >8) ever since. I still consider _High_Society_ one of the best works in the comic book field. Ever.
Bear didn't do what I *think* he did with that ball in #202, did he?
Dave Sim is wonderful. I have most of them from #20 to about #130 I think. Great stuff. Is he still planning on stopping the series at #300?
As far as I know, yep. He's just recently passed the #200 mark. #300 is scheduled for March 2004. Sim still publishes the phone books, if you're interested in catching up. :)
Here's yet another title that I just haven't got around to checking out. Maybe tomorrow's trip to the shop... i dunno.
yeah.. i'd buy it if it were available around here..
(there's a comic shop that doesn't carry _Cerebus_?!? isn't that some sort of sacrilege or something?!?)
i don't have a comic shop :\ there is a record store around here that has 10 big boxes full of back issues that i dig thru occasionally but they don't count..
(some bookstores carry collected Cerebus. Borders comes to mind.)
don't have a Borders either..
I still haven't read CEREBUS. And all 300 issues are probably collected at this point. I have seen a lot of people calling Dave Sim a crazy cult maniac. Doesn't mean CEREBUS isn't worth reading in either case.
