and DC Comics are doing a crossover series of superhero clashes. The
lineup, starting in November:
Batman vs. Captain America
Superboy vs. Spiderman
Superman vs. The Incredible Hulk
And others...Wonder Woman vs. somebody in marvel, .....I'll post the rest
when I remember, but this is legit, there was a story about it in USA
Today....
Any predictions?

I can already predict that I'm going to thrwo up as a result of the publicity... I saw in the newspaper today that this was "the first time ever" that Marvel and DC characters had met in a comic book? EXCUSE ME??? Not only were there several Marvel/DC crossovers published in the 70's, I *OWN* one of them!!! And I will gladly dig it out and shove it into the face of any media person who's stupid enough to use that statement again...
Marvel kicked ass in the crossover.
*Marvel/DC Part 2! Look for a new mini series called "All Access" in September. More info to come (of course!).
coolness!! i'll have to watch for it! Access was a pretty cool character from the crossover. I heard he was going to possibly get his own series meaning he could have appearances by both Marvel & DC characters monthly!
You know, if you missed the crossover, they (Marvel and DC in case you're half esleep) are reprinting all of the DC vs Marvel and Amalgam Comics in two trade paperbacks soon.
Image rocks!!!!!!!
DC comics will be publishing out "All Access" next month. This will feature artist Jackson Guice (co-creator of X-Force and a popular Action Comics). The four issue mini series will star Access, the multi-company hero from the DC vs Marvel crossover. The first issue is a double sized issue and will feature Superman Spider-Man and Venom. In November theyUll put out two issues, Robin, Jublie, Two-Face, and Daredevil will apear in the #2 while #3 has LOTS of superheros from both companies. The last issue is also a double sized issue. It will feature a X-Men and JLA as they find out who is the villian who wants rejoin the two universes. There will be another crossover next summer, this time published by Marvel.
whoops, I forgot to write that Ron Marz is writing All Access. Following the heals of All Access series DC will produce three elseworlds crossovers starring heroes from both Marvel and DC. First up is Batman/Captian America written and drawn by John Byrne coming out in December. The Joker and Red Skull reck havic during the days of World War II. Also look out for a poster featuring this duo.
i'm not enjoying this second crossover as much as the first.. although the Superman vs. Venom story was surprisingly interesting.. another little twist is that Access is very likely going to have a girlfriend in both universes.. now that CAN'T be legal :P it doesn't seem very nice anyway..
no it doesn't
i wonder who would win on one on one: Spiderman or Batman?
I'd cast my vote for Batman. If Batman can beat Superman (and he has) the I'm sure he can beat webhead.
Batman would win. He has the cool utility belt. Spidey would just make Batman sticky with web goo.
of course Spidey does have super strength and he could pound bats into hamburger once he ties him up with his goo
Buteven with the added strenth, Spiderman isn't as experianed as Batman. Batman wouldjust out wit webhead, or maybe set trap. I've seen Batman beat Superman twice... If Suypermans added strenth couldn't hel me with Batman then Spiderman is no contest. There was a two issue crossover with spiderman... did any body rread that? Word is out that there is a second Batman/Spider-Man crossover is in the planning stages... More later.
never read that , tho, maybe i should have. I'll look for that next one.
the next Marvel/DC crossover is called Unlimited Access and is written by Karl Kesel.. he plans to have Access visit the 2099 Universe and the Legion Timeline now that Access has discovered he has time traveling powers as well as the ability to travel from the Marvel to DC universe and back.
Access is also going into the past to the old west and pre war eras.
i'm hearing talks of there being an Avengers/JLA clash in there somewhere as well..
i really dont think george perez is good for this project. Iwould prefer either scott mcdaniel ored mcguiness
Do you mean you don't think George Perez is good for the Marvel vs. DC crossover on the mid-0s or that he is not good for the upcoming Jla/Avengers crossover?
The JLA/Avengers miniseries wound up being fairly mediocre, sad to say. Nothing wrong with Busiek's writing or Perez's art, exactly, it just tried to fit everything in and that pushed out most of the characterization. It's pretty enough and if you're a long-time DC and/or Marvel fan, you'll get a kick out of identifying the huge crowd shots and obscure facts. Bottom line, nostalgia high, story thin.
