Joker comes immediately to mind, as does Magneto, before he got screwed up
into Onslaught.

My vote is for Mr. Gone from The Maxx. I like the monsters in Hellboy (Mike
Mignola rocks in horror comics). My favorite comics like Bone, Strangers in
Paradice, and Negetive Burn, don't have straight out villians.

I like Juggernaut. I am not completely sure why but for some reason I like
Juggernaut.. weird.

#4 of 54 by senna on Mon Mar 31 00:02:54 1997:

So I've heard. I havne't read Maxx lately, is Mr. Gone really that good?

#5 of 54 by bio on Mon Mar 31 07:45:44 1997:

If you have read lately, you would have read the origin of Gone... This is
one of the best stories I have read... I can't describe it, just read it!

#6 of 54 by dbassman on Wed Apr 2 01:23:49 1997:

I like Hemorrage in the Vampirella comics, he can drain blood out of hookers
just by looking at them ( just kidding, I don't really read Vampirella
anymore, it was just a phase i was going through.)

#7 of 54 by biohazar on Wed Apr 2 09:05:40 1997:

I'm not responding to that!

#8 of 54 by senna on Thu Apr 3 06:10:24 1997:

Can I borrow the comics, Dave?

Dark Pheonix suddenly comes to mind as a good one.

#9 of 54 by dbassman on Fri Apr 4 04:12:39 1997:

but, dave, yu already did respond.

#10 of 54 by senna on Mon Apr 7 00:16:38 1997:

what do you mean, bassman?

#11 of 54 by otaking on Tue Apr 8 12:13:16 1997:

I think the best villain is the Joker. My favorite is Codpiece, a Doom Patrol
villain. He had a codpiece that fired boxing gloves, cream pies, and missiles.

#12 of 54 by senna on Fri Apr 11 06:40:43 1997:

What happened to the good old days when the X-Men had a slew of good
villains breathing down their necks? Oh, that's right.. Claremont had
to leave, and the villains went with him.

#13 of 54 by pez on Fri Apr 11 19:16:53 1997:

chris claremont is considering writing an x-book or two again.. or possibly
being an editor at Marvel..

#14 of 54 by bio on Sat Apr 12 10:09:21 1997:

That is odd. Since I read in an interveiw that Marvel came to him once before
and he said that the only way he'd come back is if Marvel undid all that has
happened since he left and that would not be fair to the readers. So he said
he'd never go back to Marvel.

#15 of 54 by pez on Sat Apr 12 15:57:36 1997:

i dunno.. i think Bob Harras or someone went to great lengths to get him back
to Marvel..

#16 of 54 by senna on Sat Apr 12 23:21:27 1997:

Well, if they do an X-men reborn thing, he might be able to... he could
rewrite anything he bloody wanted.

#17 of 54 by biohazar on Tue Apr 22 00:06:20 1997:

I wouldn't mind see Claremont write the "Days of Future's Past" but in the
actual current Marvel continuity.

#18 of 54 by senna on Thu Apr 24 04:09:09 1997:

that's what theyr'e going to do, as I understand it

#19 of 54 by biohazar on Thu Apr 24 04:22:08 1997:

No, in a interview in Wizard, they said that it was not the Day of Future
Past... What you are thinking about is a new crossover called No Exit. Writter
Scott Lobdell states, "While we're not going to see'Day's of Future Past,'
we are going to be seeing events the will redefine the X-Men."

#20 of 54 by senna on Fri Apr 25 05:24:15 1997:

All events redefine X-Men. that's one of the problems.. every single bloody
comic redefines them. They'll just change back to something else eventually
anyway.

I miss claremont's x-men.

#21 of 54 by biohazar on Mon Apr 28 07:23:56 1997:

We all do Steve, we all do...

#22 of 54 by senna on Tue Apr 29 03:10:43 1997:

And I miss Lee's art, dammit. These new distortion artists have taken all
the dignity and character out of the X-Men.

#23 of 54 by bio on Tue Apr 29 09:45:23 1997:

This may date me, but I miss Paul Smith's art on X-Men. That and Silvestri.
Those two were the best (in my opinion) artist on X-Men. (At least I didn't
say I miss Kirby, then I'd be REALLY old)

#24 of 54 by otaking on Tue Apr 29 11:55:31 1997:

Don't feel bad David. I miss Kirby's art.

#25 of 54 by biohazar on Wed Apr 30 13:06:37 1997:

Your not that old. You weren't reading comics when Kirby was drawing X-Men.
How old are you?

#26 of 54 by otaking on Fri May 2 13:38:57 1997:

I'm 25. I've just read reprints and poor issues of Kirby's work.
I have early Iron Man and FF issues that are only worth a few bucks, but
they're cool. Besides, how else can any of us afford an Iron Man #5
or an early X-Men.

#27 of 54 by senna on Mon May 5 02:17:12 1997:

reprints are great... they have the same content, and to the reader, they're
no different. it's just when they came out.

#28 of 54 by otaking on Mon May 5 12:09:31 1997:

Just as a brief digression... I think the only good thing Marvel has put out
lately is their Essential graphic novels. For $13, you can get reprints of
over 20 issues (in B&W) of the X-Men, Spiderman, or Wolverine. If only
they could prduce such good work now...

#29 of 54 by senna on Wed May 7 00:48:16 1997:

slightly on that subject, I want to get my hands on the X-Tinction Agenda
collection... I wonder if there are any around. The individual issues are
still way up there in price

#30 of 54 by biohazar on Wed May 7 05:08:54 1997:

There is a trade paperback that is always in back order... go to any comic
book store and ask to get the X-Tinction Agenda tpb and within three months
you'll get it

#31 of 54 by otaking on Wed May 7 12:00:44 1997:

Re #29: You could also order it for much cheaper from American Entertainment.
They are a mail-order comic company that offers a lot of cheap Marvel and
Image stuff. They also offer some of the varients, exclusive covers, and
autographed stuff too. If you're interested, I'll mail you the info.

#32 of 54 by senna on Thu May 8 01:29:16 1997:

I've ordered a couple things from them, but I havne't seen them around lately.
I didn't know they still had X-Tinction agenda available.. I'll check it out.

#33 of 54 by biohazar on Sun May 11 06:24:45 1997:

Actualy it's fast to go though American Entertainment, and they do have a lot
of items on sale... but you still haveto pay shipping and handling... which
can get big exspecaly if you get the rush delivery

#34 of 54 by otaking on Mon May 12 11:49:24 1997:

The shipping and handling is always a drawback on orders, but I usually order
enough cheap stuff to make it worthwhile.

#35 of 54 by senna on Tue May 13 04:10:49 1997:

No kidding. besides, you get your money's worth in convenience.

#36 of 54 by biohazar on Fri May 16 07:38:02 1997:

also in American Entertainment, when you order an X emont of comic you get
lots of free comics (the ones that nobody wants) :)

#37 of 54 by pez on Fri May 16 19:07:12 1997:

but the ones that nobody wants are the ones *I* usually want..
you realize, of course, that means i am nobody.. but i've always known that..

#38 of 54 by bio on Sat May 17 09:47:08 1997:

your not nobody, your just weird... and nothing is wrong with being weird,
because all of us are weird here

#39 of 54 by pez on Sat May 17 14:08:26 1997:

i enjoy being weird.. EMBRACE YOUR WEIRDNESS!!!
