Grex Comics Item 18: Cartoon History of the Universe
Entered by bruin on Tue May 21 18:53:50 UTC 1996:

This item if for discussion of the "Cartoon History of the Universe" series
by Larry Gornick <sp> and your impressions of it. I myself have the first
two volumes, ending at the Fall of the Roman Empire, and with a sneak preview
of the Dawn of Islam as the cliffhanger ending in Volume II.

Is it humorous, or does it look like a Bible comic, or what?

Oh, it's very humorous.

No, scott, it's not one of those cheesy Bible comics. This tells where we
came from in a very humorous way, including how humans evolved (closer to
Darwin than the Bible), and even makes fun of certain Biblical references
(such as early Christians speaking in tongues singing 1950's doowop lyrics).
