Okay, this is the Cinema conference "Academy Awards" item. I wont bother repeating the nominees, you know who they are. What I want to know, is who do you think will win, should win, should have been nominated...etc And who are the least deserving nominees. And the envelopes please!...

I havent seen all the nominated films yet, but of those I saw, I like "Fargo" thebest. I want Tom Cruise to win best actor because I am tired of this award going to whoever is playing the most diseased or dysfunctional person. It does take talent to play normal people too. Cruise is the only nominee in that categoryplaing a normal person. I also like Francis McDormand for Fargo, as Best Actress. I'llhold off on the rest until Ive seen more of the films. Least deserving nominee is Kenneth Branaugh for best adapted screenplay for Hamlet...his screenplay isnt adapted at all, it is the uncut version of Shakespeare's play!
I haven't seen any of the nominated films yet:( So any predictions wouldn't be very founded.
Personally, I think as far as 1998 goes, everything and anything Titanic was nominated for should go to them.
Hm, I notice that this item was entered over a year ago and must be referring to *last* year's Academy Awards. (I also notice that it didn't get much response.)
I noticed that as well, but I thought I would try to revive it. ;)
Item 18 deals with this year's nominations.
Whoops, didn't see that one.
