Hrm. Well, I can say that I wouldn't want to see two butch women going
at it. It wouldn't be painful or anything, just uninteresting.
Aren't women the market that slash fiction is written for? Is our resident Star Trek expert around to comment?
slash fiction? bodice rippers?
I kinda wondered about that comment myself ...
From the memory of a definite NON-expert: slash fiction - sub-sub-genre of Star Trek fan fiction; stories are built very tightly around a (homosexual) relationship between Kirk and Spock; the market for slash fiction is almost entirely middle-aged women; the term comes from the notation "Kirk/Spock". I'm unaware of any expert on grex besides chanur. Last i recall she was working on a Ph.D. in Star Trek literature.
I don't think it's just Star Trek, though it probably originated there. I've heard of people doing Starsky and Hutch slash fiction. (No, I'm not an expert either. In fact, I've never read any. In further fact, I think I've been permanently damaged psychologically by even having heard the phrase "Starsky and Hutch slash fiction.")
there used to be a site where there was Highlander slash fiction based off the series with Adrian Paul.
There's West Wing slash fiction.
Wesley Crusher slash fiction is also popular. If I were going to write ST slash fiction, it would probably involve an alternate script to Charlie X where Charlie manages to get it on with Yeoman Rand, who manages to get it on with Kirk, who manages to get it on with Uhura, who manages to get it on with Spock.
wild. to coax me into fondling some other guy's genitals, you'd have to be wealthy, successful and decadent, willing to offer me a place to stay and meals to eat, and be a very beautiful, drug-addicted woman.

Yeah. Let's hear it for hotties.
No, that doesn't mean that I want to see attractive men getting it on
- send those tapes over to oval and mynxcat - but at least if they're getting
it on with each other, they're not occupying the same niche.

People who obsess about romantic relationships (real or potential) in TV series really need to get a life.
resp:23 no, for resp:21, actually.
Re #24: This is going to sound nastier than I mean it, but I'm not sure
adults who wear diapers should be taking shots at other people's
sexual fetishes.
..and how hypocritical given how romaannnnnntic diapers are!
resp 26: Actually, it's mostly a gripe I had from being a fan of Farscape (and sometimes looking at Sci Fi's Farscape Message Board). I had difficulty continuing to watch the show after the body switching episode and another with Jothee and Chianna. Waaayy too many people there were obsessed with a relationship of 2 of the main characters - reading their posts made me physically sick. Besides, I knew someone would respond to my post here in a semi-negative way. :-p
Hey, I'm not into slash fiction either, or diapers, for that matter. (Forced to make a choice, I'd go for slash, but that's just me.)
It's not as bad if someone takes a picture of you reading poorly
written erotic fan fiction.
I just don't understand fan fiction. It doesn't bother me. It's just
wish fulfilment fantasy set in someone else's fantasy world, and no more
derivative than Arthurian fantasy, if less snooty. If it was well-written,
I guess I'd read it; I just haven't found any that is.
I don't think I'd be interested in well-written Starsky and Hutch slash fiction, even.
What's wrong with Starsky and Hutch gettin' it on?
ugh that's as bad as vadar and the light saber
Re #32: Nothing, as long as they're both consenting. I'm just not into
reading about it.

not that i possess the collector-mentality, but now one thing i'm dying to get my hands on is a picture of joe saul reading slash porn in a diaper.
