On the history channel, they had a bit about Chevrolet. In this story, they showed a 1953/54 corvette concept car which was a station wagon design. It was called the Nomad and it had the same roofline which was later incorported into the 1955-57 Chevy Nomad and the 1955-57 Pontiac Safari wagons. Trivia item for you mid-50's buffs.

This was the car featured in "Stand and Deliver'. One very hip ride, if you ask me. ;)
I never saw "Stand & Deliver" - I take it is a movie - from what era? I'll watch for it.
The eighties. Stand and Deliver is a movie about a teacher at Garfield High in Los Angeles named Jaime Escalante. Senor Escalante teaches AP calculus, and he taught it to a lot of ghetto and barrio kids, thus saving them from thier lifestyle, and a life of crime. Truly inspiring. in 1984, he passed 84 students on AP calculus. He still teaches at Garfield High.
