The query program will once again tell you the status of the auction.
Type "query open" to see a list of open items, "query buyer joe" to see a
list of all the things bought by user joe, and just "query" to see a list of
options.

why arent ther very many items being entered into the auction....?
i would have thought people would have seen this as a great way to get
rid of some stuff and help out grex at the same time also.....
im getting ready to enter a few more items myself...

I agree - I hope everyone will try to think of things they want to get rid
of that someone else might want, and send mail to aution@cyberspace.org
offering the item in the auction. Think hard!

say mark,
When does this auction officaly end anyway?
when can I stop getting rid of thigs i dont want for the good will of
mankind?
I mean grex.... >^:) -Chad C.

There is no official end date - at some point, when things are winding down,
the auctioneers will declare a moratorium on new submissions. But not until
it looks like there's no longer enough active items to keep many people
coming back to the conference.

So, that's not much of an answer; I guess I should say, put things in as
soon as possible!

I didn't know I was trying to get rid of Jim. I certainly could have found
a use for him myself.

It's nice of you to donate bits and pieces of Jim for the improvement
of Grex, Sindi!

You're welcome, jep!

It was more of a time-sharing arrangement. He did not get dismembered.

able to post responces?
<Fuzzball thinks hard and results in a headace>

#15 of 28 by gelinas on Thu Jun 12 04:30:54 2003:

He is not banned from the conference, just from the auction: any bids he
offers will be ignored.

#16 of 28 by aruba on Thu Jun 12 14:27:32 2003:

Right. There is no way to ban someone from a Grex conference.

#17 of 28 by fuzzball on Fri Jun 13 05:57:06 2003:

#20 of 28 by fuzzball on Sun Jun 22 23:42:37 2003:

how would i go abut getting my own conference?
like ive browsed bbs
and several users (some i havent seen on grex in ages) have personal
conferences of there own.... how could i go about getting one of my own? I
would really be interested in running a serious one of my own.

New conferences come about when someone enters an item in the coop
conference requesting them.

#22 of 28 by fuzzball on Mon Jun 23 04:29:19 2003:

thanks
<fuzzball heads to coop>

#23 of 28 by jep on Mon Jun 23 12:54:22 2003:

You could put one up for sale, Mark.

#24 of 28 by aruba on Mon Jun 23 14:58:24 2003:

Heh. Except that everyone else got theirs for free. ;)

#25 of 28 by jep on Mon Jun 23 16:13:01 2003:

Yeah. You know, I have my own "Grex bat", too. There's nothing wrong
with intangibles. I'm sure you'd make it clear so there'd be no
deception involved.

#26 of 28 by aruba on Thu Aug 7 03:09:03 2003:

I went through and retired all the items that have closed.

#27 of 28 by polytarp on Sun Aug 10 08:58:24 2003:

Okay.

I think it's time to declare this edition of the auction closed. Thanks,
