Grex Arts Item 78: Animaniacs for President!
Entered by juggler on Mon Apr 25 03:56:07 UTC 1994:

Are there others out there like me who happen to believe that "Animaniacs"
represents the best new animated show to happen to TV since looney toons
left production? A show that easily mixes kids animation with humor
and references that you need a Ph.D. for ! Reminds me of Bullwinkle
in a way! C'mon maniacs, let me know that I'm not alone!

Seems to me I've heard of the show but have never watched it. What
time & network? (or is it cable?)

#4 of 46 by omni on Tue Apr 26 04:26:07 1994:

4:00 pm ch 50 (fox). I reccommend this program highly, esp, Pinky
and The Brain.

Has anyone seen the spoof of Les Miserables that they did called Les
Miseranimals?? I've missed it every time it's been on... heard it's good though
Saw one called "Baloney and Friends" that was a riotus spoof of a{certain
purple thunder lizard...

#8 of 46 by omni on Sat May 7 20:26:50 1994:

I am told that an all new episode will air on Monday. I have started
  recording
these for future use. I only have 1 Pinky and the Brain...

RUSH TO McDONALDS NOW!!!!!!!!!!! ANIMANIACS TOYS/HAPPY MEALS ARE THERE!!!!!!!!
So far the only ones out are a Good Feathers one, and a Wacko one...collect
all 8 for your fun and pleasure! :)
BTW, they are $1.05 each, so you're better off just buying the Happy Meal!
Plus, it comes in an Animaniacs fun box for the children in all of us!

#10 of 46 by omni on Mon May 9 05:52:38 1994:

nahh. I dont need that junk.

Id rather watch them. Funnier that way.

But I will bet that Pinky and the Brain will scarce indeed!

#11 of 46 by juggler on Mon May 9 20:00:05 1994:

I don't need them either, but they're so CUUUUUUUUUUUTE!

#12 of 46 by robc on Thu May 12 06:52:35 1994:

Animaniacs are def'natley good dogs. Def'n, def'nately good dogs.

They have an audio cassette (or CD) out now. I happen to have it. It is
filed with a bunch of their best material. The States and capitals,
countries of the world, "I'm Cute," Schnitzelbank, and of course the theme.

Fan here.

A CD?!?! How cool!!!!!!
Does it have the Anvilanian
National Anthem on it??

#14 of 46 by kimba on Tue Jun 21 00:21:06 1994:

Hey! Just got my husband (juggler) the Animaniacs CD for Father's Day! It's
definately a must-have for true fans. I love the Pirates of Penzance take-offs
but my only disappointment...no Les Miseranimals tunes!!!!

#15 of 46 by juggler on Tue Jun 21 01:30:22 1994:

#16 of 46 by ejkloos on Tue Jun 21 06:25:04 1994:

Hello, Nurse!
A clown will not bite me and throw me in the basement.
wheel of morality, turn turn turn, tell us the lesson we should learn.
okay, i love you, bye-bye.

#17 of 46 by juggler on Wed Jun 22 03:11:12 1994:

Polka Dot?!?!? Again???
Anvilania.....
You mean that Bumbi's mom is, waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!
ahhhhh, enough with the singin' already!
This is a pain that will linger.
Pinky, are you contemplating what I'm contemplating?
Narf!

#18 of 46 by ejkloos on Thu Jun 23 04:14:09 1994:

you're just jealous because we have a candybar named after us!
boys, go fig
beans, beans, the musical fruit
the more you eat..
the more they kick you off the air for completing this poem.
Thank you.
( animaniacs rules!)

Note: for those of you in reach of briarwood mall in Ann Arbor, there is a
great sand sculpture (sp?) of Warner Bros. characters, And guess who's on the
back? You got it, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot! cool.

#20 of 46 by kimba on Sun Jun 26 14:59:33 1994:

I just returned from Toledo/Cedar Point weekend, and while at a Toledo mall I
found 2 different Animaniacs t-shirts for sale! Look for them locally!

#21 of 46 by ejkloos on Sun Jun 26 19:28:28 1994:

I know that the Warner Bros. store in Briarwood mall has some.

#22 of 46 by gull on Sat Sep 17 03:07:51 1994:

Yes, this item is old now, but I must say I *love* Animaniacs! My favorite
is Pinkey and the Brain.

"Pinkey, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
"Ya, I think so Brain, but if we didn't have ears we'd look like weasels."

I like Yakko, too. His voice reminds me of a British rock star. (so
does Pinkey's.)

#23 of 46 by juggler on Fri Sep 23 22:06:01 1994:

Thanks for getting this conf. going again!

Actually, it's Wakko w/ the english accent :)
Kinda sounds like Ringo Starr!

#24 of 46 by ejkloos on Tue Sep 27 05:10:30 1994:

Still here, Still loving animaniacs!

#25 of 46 by kimba on Thu Sep 29 04:08:46 1994:

#26 of 46 by cyberpnk on Sat Oct 1 18:04:02 1994:

AT LAST! others who love the same wacky cartoon that i do!
but what i want to know is: where are we going to find rubbre pants our size?

#27 of 46 by ejkloos on Mon Oct 3 02:55:52 1994:

Are there new shows this fall? (I've been too busy to watch)

#28 of 46 by juggler on Wed Oct 5 21:07:39 1994:

Haven't seen any new shows yet Eric. Anyone besides myself think that Chicken
Boo and Katie Kaboom need to get the axe to make way for the bits that are
actually funny??

#29 of 46 by ejkloos on Wed Oct 5 21:57:08 1994:

Katie Kaboom is NOT funny, but there's kind of a wackiness that's funny with
the chicken boo sketches. I mean, the guy's obviously a chicken, but people
don't realize it until he drops his hat! I don't know, I think it's funny
because it's so stupid. It's a good contrast to some of the "higher" comedy
in Pinky and the brain and Rita and Runt.

#30 of 46 by ejkloos on Thu Oct 6 23:16:10 1994:

Are they even on anymore? 8(

#31 of 46 by juggler on Mon Oct 10 21:47:09 1994:

Who? The show itself or The above characters?

#32 of 46 by cyberpnk on Tue Oct 11 18:54:21 1994:

I agree! Katie Ka-Boom should be kaput!

#33 of 46 by ejkloos on Tue Oct 11 19:37:30 1994:

The Show, i haven't seen it for weeks.\

#34 of 46 by kimba on Fri Oct 14 03:06:16 1994:

The show is still on...same time, same channel. I've seen one or two new ones,
or maybe they were just episodes I've missed before?

#35 of 46 by cyberpnk on Sat Oct 15 16:47:42 1994:

>They could do without the Hip Hippos, too...

#36 of 46 by juggler on Mon Oct 17 04:32:44 1994:

#37 of 46 by ejkloos on Wed Oct 19 00:35:12 1994:

#38 of 46 by cyberpnk on Thu Oct 20 17:05:55 1994:

#39 of 46 by juggler on Sun Oct 23 04:38:42 1994:
