Has anyone attended "The Age of Rubens" being shown at the Toledo
Museum of Art?
From the information I recieved via ch 11, Toledo is the only city
besides Boston to host this showing of Peter Paul Rubens works. I saw
a few on the tube, and they are very stunning, and quite worth the 7.95
admission price.
I should also mention that there will be a one hour show called
"A guide to the age of Rubens" on WGTE ch 30 on Friday Feb 11, at 10:00
pm.
I would be willing to organize a grexpedition to this showing, if there
is enough interest.

How long will the exhibit be there?
I'm not sure, but I would guess it's probably going to be a year or so. If I get more info I'll post it here.
I find it utterly ironic that the Toledo Museum escorted a woman out of a room displaying nudes to a private area because she was nursing her child. She and the child were covered by a shawl, but she was told that public nursing was unacceptable. Sheesh. Until I heard about that I was reallt interested in seeing the Reubens showing -- but pay $8 to the TMA? I dunno.
I believe it was one guard that caused this incident. He has been advised of how to handle it in the future. The museum has publicly apologized to the woman.
I'm glad to heat that! So, is that trip still on?
I indicated that I would be willing to *Plan* a trip to the museum, notyhing beyond that has been done..
