This item is for Theater buffs, performers, designers, etc. Here it is permissible to show off your stuff or find out who else is showing their stuff. Designers can write about ideas they are working on, request information regarding a design idea, inform us of events in which their designs will be showcased, etc. Performers, natch, tell us of which plays they will be in, their parts, etc. and sometimes, If they like, get ideas for character development. Producers and directors can write about shows they are working on and get some ideas to add to their "vision." As for Theater Buffs, well, we'll all comment and ask questions and be a general nuisance to all the rest of you so that you will all feel loved and important ;) Actually, these are just suggestions. I'm just hop[ing to get an item started regarding Theater. Have fun, people. Julie (bookworm)

not working on anything theatrical at the moment, but it has been becoming a goal of mine to direct a show at some point. i'd like to act a couple more times first, but my career path doesn't seem to allow the option/time. since i work in entertainment/arts, i'm usually working at the times when someone would be able to schedule rehearsals. ultimately, i should look around more for a *script* i'd like to direct, so at least i can begin to develop the ideas...
I'd get such a kick out of designing for Jack and the Beanstalk. It was one of the questions on my Intro to Theater final. Now I just can't get it out of my head. It would be loads of work but still fun.
Hi, I'm Scott. I used to do theatre on the tech side of things, starting at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. I worked as a stagehand in the Lansing area for a few years, doing live sound mostly (I did a number of jobs for Local 274 of the stagehand's union [IATSE]). These days I haven't done much of anything for a few years, thanks to my computer job. I'd like to do some more, if I can get around the scheduling issues.
Sounds like we almost have a crew. Now all we need are some stage hands and some performers. :)
Indeed. I'm hoping Julie will get involved in productions in the A2 or surrounding area when we move.
