I'm working in the Best Buy Ann Arbor video department right now. We're looking for a few good movies. The ideal movies should use lots of bright colors so the TVs look good. They should make good use of surround sound and stereo so people will notice it's there. There should be no objectionable language, sex or violence, and it would be best if the laser disc is not too expensive or hard to find. It would also be nice if the movies were fairly easy for the staff to ignore. Some of the films we've got now demand too much of my attention when I should be listening to the customers.... Here's what we've been playing lately: The Pagemaster The Lion King Hook Aladdin The Mask The Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi I'm really sick of most of these, especially Hook. We sometimes watch Big, but it has a (sort of) sex scene and "shit" and "fuck" so we need to retire it. Any suggestions?

So I assume _Crimes of Passion_ would be right out? :-)
Darn, I was thinking _The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover_. >8)
101 Dalmations
A more serious suggestion, given the approaching season - _The Nightmare Before Christmas_.
The Magnificent Seven.........cool western....Yul Brinner...Steve McQueen/ THere's a little action, no foul words, good action and suspense.
How about Ron Fricke's _Baraka_? Something non-narrative.
Try Disney's Fantasia. The King and I is pretty. Willy Wonka. When I ran a video store, lo these many years ago, we used The Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters, but we weren't too worried about children. Oh! Oklahoma is a good one, too.
Star Wars Trilogy, Blues Brothers, Animal House, CLockwork Orange, 2001, Full Metal JAcket, inidiana jones. i dunno
