phase 5 digital products has announced an '060 accelerator system for the A4000. Cyberstorm 68060 is a fully modular system that includes the Cyberstorm carrier module, CPU module (at 50MHz - may be upgraded to 80MHz later) and a memory module (up to 128MB 32-bit RAM, using industry-standard 72-pin SIMMS in free combinations of 4, 8, 16 and 32MB, 70ns or faster required) and has room for additional expansion modules. List price for the Cyberstorm '060 is $1,349. Additional modules include: Cyberstorm Fast SCSI-II DMA Controller ($249), which provides internal and external SCSI port, up to 10MB/s with more than 90% free CPU time; Cyberstorm I/O Module ($549), including fast SCSI-II DMA controller, Ethernet interface and fast serial port. The Cyberstorm system is scheduled for release in June of '95. An A3000 version should be released a month or two later. Cyberstorm is being distributed in North America by Softwood, Inc., known for products such as Final Copy, Final Writer and Final Data.

RE #1 I believe Emplant will run on any Amiga with an expansion slot..
The Emplant is amazing in my 3000, but wouldn't work at all in my SO's 2000 with a CSA '030 board. An "060 @ 80hz should push non RISC programs up to PowerMAC levels, Way Cool.
