Grex Amiga Item 12: Sources for Amiga Software
Entered by mta on Sun Dec 24 21:41:54 UTC 1995:

Where do you get your software? I discovered this Christmas that getting
software for the Amiga isn't all that simple ... so I'm looking for sources
before the birthdays roll around.

Slipped Disk on 12 Mile rd in Royal Oak, COmputer Link on Middlebelt
in Garden City. Otherwise you need to hit the mail order companies:
Software Hut 1-800-932-6442, Better COncepts 1-800-252-6442 or email
at better@j5l.com, Safe Harbor 1-800-544-6599.
Those are the only ones I could find on a quick look. Good luck !
You may want to check through a copy of Amazing Computing Amiga for
other posibilities, you can probably find an issue at any good sized
magazine stand/book store.

Oh, we have an sub to Amazing Amiga ... and I used it to find a source for
x-mas gifts. And I knew about Slipped Disk, but not Computer Link. I was
hoping to find a closer source is all. *sigh*

(I hate driving anywhere near Detroit.

Computer Link is much closer than Slipped Disk, and they have a
slightly better selection of software, but most of it is used. They
sell a lot of things on consignment, so the prices are usually a bit
cheaper.

Oho! Then I certainly need to find them! Thanks!

Take 96 to Middlebelt Rd, then go South on Middlebelt (a right turn
off the highway) It's on the right side of the road, across the
street from a school. It's in a tiny strip mall and hard to notice
if you're not looking closely for it. If you get to Ford rd. you've
gone too far. Good luck !

I know of someone right here in town who's looking for a deal on Amigas.
If you're serious about selling you might see if login ID font is still in
the market.

on the off chance that anyone reading this still has a working Amiga
1000 I was cleaning out my closet the other day and found an unused
"Lucas" 68020 accelerator board that I have no use for. You'd have
to supply your own 68020 and I don't have any docs but the first
interested party can have it..
