Hmm . . . mayhaps this item should be linked to rialto. In any case, I am a member of the Ring of Steel Action Theatre. Anyone else into re-enactment or stage combat?

I used to know someone in RoS... Do you know anything about the Art of Combat group in Lansing?
Nope, sorry.
Well, this seems like the most appropriate conference and item in which to consider a concern. I am concerned because it seems that the rules for advancing in RoS have changed once again. This is not so much a problem for me as it is for my partner with whom I will attempt to certify in rapier. It seems that before she is allowed to perform the certifying fight with rapier, she must work a simpler fight (also a rapier fight) with a scene and perform that. Hopefully, she will bring it before the Maestro at tonight's meeting. And if she doesn't, I might.
Turns out what I thought would be a problem isn't. That partner and I have attempted to certify in rapier twice. I am getting disappointed in RoS, due to its recent devolution. My reasons for choosing RoS over any other group were: real weapons, and minimal emphasis on acting. However, 2 new bitches that Chris seems to think are gifts from God are given a whole bit of practice to lead. Honesetly, I don't give a shit if they've had years of acting experience - you can have years of experience in anything and still suck at it. More to the point, by the ranks of the club, I outrank them, so why the hell should I have to take orders from them? Why do we even have ranks at all if they don't matter? <rant = off>
