Well, a long-winded item seemed to fall flat on its face, so here's a separate and specific item. Aside from table-top RPGs, what's your favorite board game? We've got a great game shop in town that covers both RPGs and great board games. Balderdash, Yahtzee, and Pictionary are some of my favorites. Go and Shogi, if I can find it, are on my list of games to try.

Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Yahtzee, chess, one or two others...
Scrabble mostly, the rest fell by the wayside as I aged. The fate of all children's games. O well, that's what second hand stores are for. :-)
I played Trivial Pursuit: Star Wars Edition recently. Quite a bit of fun.
I enjoy Trivial Pursuit in many of it's forms, I also like Scrabble and Cranium.
Chess, Scrabble and Settlers of Catan
What's Settlers of Catan? Please describe.
I would never be able to do the game justice, so I'll punt and point you to this page: http://www.gamecabinet.com/reviews/DieSiedler.html
Thanks. Too bad there's no pictures.
Scrabble, backgammon, chess, cribbage, Boggle.
