Grex Amalgam Item 14: Homebrew Ideas

Sometimes, I'll read someting or watch a movie or television show and 
think that it would be cool as an RPG or RPG setting.  However, I don't 
always know out of which RPGs I have what would make the best base for 
that idea.

Here are some TV shows I thought would be good as RPGs or RPG settings, 
with or without my idea of RPG bases.

* ReBoot (original base idea: Alternity; new base idea: cross Star Wars 
d20/D&D3E)

* Zoids (not all of these RPG bases are my ideas: D&D3E (High Level), 
Mekton Zeta, Rifts, Star Warsd20).

On the Zoids options, I'm pretty sure I'll go with Mekton Zeta, but so 
far I only have the book on how to make the giant robots and not the 
human (or zoidian) characters.  Guess I'll have to do some RPG shopping 
if I do it that way.

For both of these, you might want to also look at the Tri-Stat system in Big
Eyes, Small Mouth, a wonderful little generic RPG.

That was in fact a suggestion one of my friends gave me for the Zoids 
idea.  Might not be a bad idea since I am into anime.

Yesterday I bought a copy of BESMR2E.  Today I read it, skimming over 
parts that were already covered by SMRPGaRG.  It indeed looks like the 
best bet for Zoids, not only because of not locating other Mekton books.
