I'm happy that agora rolled over nicely.

#2 of 211 by kentn on Thu Dec 31 22:07:24 2015:

I'm happy the agora roll instructions made sense :)

#3 of 211 by tod on Fri Jan 1 01:13:21 2016:

I'm happy that it only took 4 1/2 hours to put together an Office Depot
desk for my son without any missing screws or misaligned drawers.
He gave me a hug when he saw the finished product. Worth it.

#4 of 211 by kentn on Fri Jan 1 13:04:13 2016:

And no parts left over?

#5 of 211 by gelinas on Fri Jan 1 21:37:39 2016:

I'm happy that Michigan won the Citrus Bowl, and, thanks to ESPNWatch live
streaming, I got to see it. :)

#6 of 211 by kentn on Sat Jan 2 15:16:26 2016:

I am also happy to have seen that game and that Michigan won
convincingly (41-7) over Florida.

#7 of 211 by gelinas on Sun Jan 3 18:35:38 2016:

I'm glad that someone was able to fix the candidate list, resolving the
problems voting.

#8 of 211 by kentn on Sun Jan 3 18:40:53 2016:

It was me, gelinas. I noticed the issue. 3 candidates instead of 4.
That's all it took.

#9 of 211 by tod on Mon Jan 4 02:19:26 2016:

re #4
2 screws were left over
I'm sure they're for the flux capacitor

#10 of 211 by kentn on Mon Jan 4 03:14:57 2016:

Sometimes they throw in a couple extra screws. Much easier and cheaper
than dealing with complaints about being a couple screws short.

#11 of 211 by tod on Tue Jan 5 01:27:52 2016:

My guess is their biggest complaints have to do with nicks and chips in the
fake finish. Several corners were chipped or gouged..it isn't packed with
much cushion.
Sauder=SawDust

#12 of 211 by kentn on Tue Jan 5 19:39:05 2016:

Yeah, I'll bet you are right. If they don't pack it well, then when they
drop it, things get dented or whatever. Sawdust, yes, that sounds right.

#13 of 211 by tod on Tue Jan 5 21:39:17 2016:

I need to find a marker/paint which resembles the cherry wood finish they
use so I can cover the nicks. Any recommendations?

Thanks, found cherry

#16 of 211 by walkman on Fri Jan 15 20:50:58 2016:

Why doesn't grex have a *like* feature?

#17 of 211 by kentn on Sat Jan 16 01:59:18 2016:

If you like something you can just say so. It's kind
of hard to see how a like feature would work from the
command line.

Maybe a way to put a star on someone's response?

#18 of 211 by tod on Mon Jan 18 22:31:27 2016:

re #16
This was written by UofM, not MIT, m'kay?

#19 of 211 by walkman on Tue Jan 19 17:32:51 2016:

#17, was joking!

#20 of 211 by kentn on Tue Jan 19 21:53:00 2016:

Okay, well, it would take some doing to make it work and
you know, it probably wouldn't be all that useful
around here, so yeah, more of joke than anything :)

#25 of 211 by kentn on Tue Jan 26 22:17:12 2016:

IHB I interviewed and got a new job. IAHB I'm almost done
filling out the forms for said new job. Further IHB I almost
have one really complex data set matching on independent
programming. If I can get that done, then there is just
one more to do.

#26 of 211 by tod on Wed Jan 27 05:25:58 2016:

re #25
Congrats!!

#27 of 211 by walkman on Thu Jan 28 12:38:30 2016:

#25 Congratulations Kent!

#28 of 211 by kentn on Thu Jan 28 22:42:24 2016:

Thanks tod and walkman! And IHB I'm almost done with the
program from hell that they changed a dozen times in the
last week. Only one more variable to get matching the
source data. Hopefully, it will be done today, with any
luck.

#29 of 211 by gelinas on Thu Jan 28 23:41:09 2016:

Congratulations, Kent.

IAHB Son-chan ranked 1st in a class of 162 students at the Maneuver Captains
Course. This course is the "career level" course for Army officers.
(Equivalent to the Amphibous Warfare School for Marine Officers, for those
who know. ;)

Son-chan is happy, too, I hear. :)

#30 of 211 by kentn on Sun Jan 31 04:13:12 2016:

Thanks, gelinas. And congratulations.

#31 of 211 by kentn on Tue Feb 2 03:17:38 2016:

IHB because my QC program was right tonight, even though the lead
programmer thought source was right. The data and the specs support
my side of it.

#32 of 211 by ball on Sat Feb 13 05:33:58 2016:

IHB I was able to mount a drive that I pulled from my
primary PC, which recently failed. I cobbled together a
replacement PC from parts that I had laying around and now I
am copying files from the old disk. Almost all of the data
exists elsewhere but this is going to save me the work it
would take to rebuild things.

#33 of 211 by kentn on Mon Feb 15 16:50:39 2016:

That's great, Andy, congrats. I've had disks that failed to read and
then one day they would respond and it was a big rush to back them up
before they stopped reading again. As you say, even if you can rebuild
from other sources, it's nice to get everything back at once.

IHB today is my first day on my new job and all the people I'm currently
dealing with are in the same time zone as I'm in. Account information
is being sent and now it's just when will Fedex deliver my laptop?

#34 of 211 by tod on Mon Feb 15 21:47:32 2016:

IHB I figured out how to do 0 wipes on external USB drives using a Mac
at 2.5x the speed as a DBAN takes.

Just stumbled upon the backtalk conferencing system, and then grex.

Made my day!

Welcome to Grex mikeos!

I'm happy because thanks to my hearing aids, I can now hear sounds that don't
even exist.
