Grex Agora Item 20: Grex bbs grand tour
Entered by papa on Sat Mar 18 00:12:01 UTC 2017:

For those interested in exploring the full breadth and depth of the glory that
is the Grex bulletin board, copy the file /w/p/a/papa/share/cf/cflist to
.cfdir/.cflist under your own home directory, then use the bbs N(ext) command
to tour every conference in the system.

I was inspired by uncensored.citadel.org's march list. Getting through the
whole list the first time and catching up on each conference is a bit of a
chore, but after that it's easy to track activity on all the conferences. You
can delete lines from ~/.cfdir/.cflist for conferences you never want to
visit.

Your a hero! I mean i have not gone through all the old posts on uncensored
after a few years using that system. Your right though, it makes sense to
catch up, if you can-and there is not too many posts to read, otherwise it
does take some time to get your bearings. Well done!

It's easier to do on Uncensored since it automatically catches you up on each
room you visit when you move to the next room whether or not you've actually
read all the posts.

I should use the text client more often i guess. I use the web interface to
login mainly, like most new users or people using the system as a groupware/ms
exchange server replacement (all the regulars ssh in using the text client
it seems). The web interface does not remember all the rooms i have been in
sometimes, it is being rewritten actually right now. The text
client/traditional citadel bbs system/interface is rock solid.
