This item is for any cool local websites or blogs that we come across [for AA/Ypsi and surrounding areas; cool ones about Michigan [the state of, not just the University of] are welcome as well.

I just recently came across a website/blog called downtownypsi.org. I haven't read a whole lot of it yet, there IS a discussion going on about other stuff recently discussed here on Grex. Like there's one that started out as an item about that new Mecican Market on Michigan Ave that just recently opened, it's now expanded into a discussion about the local food co-ops and if/how they may or may not be cost effective for those on limited incomes. So check it out! You can read the web pages as a visitor or you can sign up for an account [so you can post comments and such]. So what other cool sites are out there?
The one I find most interesting is Edward Vielmetti's. http://vielmetti.typepad.com/vacuum/ann_arbor/
This looks like a cool site; I'll have to go back and really check it out when I have a bit more time...
There are ton of good local blogs. I'll have links to post here for weeks. I'll start with Mark Maynard's blog. I think it is http://www.markmaynard.com
He's got some nice links too. But why so shy? How about posting the link to your blog?
I keep my blog on two sites, mostly because I prefer one and my readers appear to prefer the other ;) They are http://slynne.blogspot.com http://lynne.tblog.com
Thanks for the links mentioned above... [And was able to find a couple other cool sites to bookmark, too]. Lynne, I had run across your blog awhile back but didn't know then how to bookmark it. Now I do... :-)
Well, alright then!
<techie-aside> (For sites that are frequently updated - such as blogs or news sites - an alternative to bookmarking is subscribing to the RSS feed. That way you receive automatic notification when the site is updated, as well as direct links to the new material.) </techie-aside>
Cool! I'll have to look for that option... Thanks!
A nice web based feed reader is http:\\bloglines.com
Also, the Safari Browser on Mac OS X (which is the one I think Denise uses) has built-in RSS support.
