Things are good. I'm biding my time while waiting to go to grad school (maybe
in the fall.. we'll see what happens) and planning a wedding.

Somehow, a guy hug is not what I think Greg was wanting ...

<chuckle> what i'm wanting is for all the avalible non-psychotic atractive
intelegent women to not disspier on me;)

response 98 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 03:45 UTC 2002

Well, there's your problem. Your standards are too high. I dropped
the "non-psychotic" requirement years ago.

response 99 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 03:54 UTC 2002

Anyway, who says I'm not psycotic? ;)

psycotic or psychotic?

grad school.. man, I wish I could afford that. I'm down in the
trenches with a sucky local economy, debt, and a baby on the way.

i'm sorry. i think i've done my part in dating borken women.
i think i'm entitled to a little nookie that won't drive
me down the path of the dark side.

I know what you mean. I'm beginning to think, these days, that
relationship insanity isn't something that a person has, but something that
two people do. But it's one of those things that people understand so little
about intellectually that they find themselves acting in ways they can't
explain, for reasons they're not fully in touch with.

Granted, some people really are whacked. But even the most whacked
of them, and the worst relationship material of the bunch, eventually find
something. If only for a while. So there's a lot of give and take there.

#101 sounded like Fred Durst and Trent Reznor tried to write a song together.

response 104 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 17:26 UTC 2002

why thank you. though i'd prefer lincoln park and tretn reznor, 'cause
reznor is da man and all.
but seriously, it's enough to make a man drink.
tempted to cruise the virgin vaults for unfucked up women.
either that or, ok, anyone notice that women have a "slut" phase?
why can' ti ever find a girlie in that mode?
like, what's up with that, sex is fun for like, 2 years or so and then
all of a sudden it's "a special and wonderfull gift"
wtf

response 105 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 18:50 UTC 2002

I dunno, but if you find a girl in that mode, find out if she has a friend
you could send my way.

response 106 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 19:15 UTC 2002

i love how women who love sex are in 'slut mode'. c'mon people.
flem
response 107 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 19:27 UTC 2002

Actually, the reverse is true. I find taht women in "slut mode" are almost
never actually interested in sex. [*] It's the image, the bad-girl thing.

[*] or if they are, they still ahve just as high standards as ever. They
may want sex, but not with you, loser.

i said "slut" mode, not slut mode.
personally the world would be a happy palce if slut were as good a compliment
as playah

oh i didnt know playah was a compliment..

response 111 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 20:15 UTC 2002

It's less of an insult than "slut."
phenix
response 112 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 20:46 UTC 2002

most people i know would not be horribly offended and become social
pariahh's for being called playah
jazz
response 113 of 241: Mark Unseen   Mar 13 21:21 UTC 2002

"Playa" is about as much of an insult as "capitalist" - if someone is
one, they're not really likely to be offended by calling them one.

If I'm understanging Greg right here, the concept is pretty much the
same for both genders. Guys can have their "slut phases" too, and I'm pretty
sure I've referred to myself as having one, somewhere in this conference.
Fuck the occupation, we're reclaiming the word!

However, when people are in their "slut phase", it's not that they're
crazy for anything to come their way, or even that their standards have
dropped, necessarily, but that they don't want to commit to any one person,
or want to explore different options, so things like long-term compatibility
can be completely eclipsed by a nice ass. People who're in one tend to make
more superficial choices.

You're telling me you want someone to go after you for more superficial
reasons?
