But the point is to ask.  We don't ask so therefore we don't get.  If it were
more urgent, or if we had a project that needed additional funding, I think we
would be more actively asking.

So $6 pays for grex operating expenses for 8 hours?  Would this be too much
to ask as a one-time donation from even student users, in exchange for wishing
their puppy a happy first birthday or the like in the motd?  It might be more
appealing than a month's membership for people not interested in voting.  And
would not generate reminders to renew their membership.

But encouraging one-time donations as well as memberships might also be a good
tactic...

Are plans underway to issue such a reminder?  Or is this merely a theoretical
idea?
