IHB- It's friday, my boss is leaving for 2 weeks, it's almost christmas, I
have a busy good weekend planed, it's PAY DAY!!!!!, and I get to sleep in
tomorrow...yeaaaa!!!!!!

Oh my god!!! Stuff that wouldn't even go on my body two months ago fits
perfectly now!!! =) I'm getting closer and closer to my old weight. I'm
so excited!

SHOPPING HEAVEN. Don't I sound like a woman? It's mostly sports
stuff, so don't get too excited. I had a great day out on the town. I
managed to come home and lose twice to my cousin in a hockey computer
game we both know, too. That was fun.

Had a fun time playing an "acoustic duo" (I was playing electric upright bass
and electric bass guitar, but the other guy was playing acoustic guitar) at
Crazy Wisdom Tea Room. No smoke stank on my instruments!

I'm home, safe. Decent drive, no less, even without access to a tape deck.
My weekend was definitely good. It was great to see family again. Everybody
is getting so old!

Our performance at Wassail kicked butt, and everything was so beautiful...the
feast was amazing too.

So far the busy has been good- Had dinner with Val Friday, then hung
out with Syl, That Guy, and a few other folks to play Civilization (and
not the computer game) and managed to get here on Saturday afternoon
(here being my parents' house) and shortly I'm off to go shopping with
my sister. Should be fun fun.

I live in a warm house. I usually take this for granted but after
scraping ice/snow off my car at 2:00 AM when it was 10 degrees out, I
was so happy to live in a place with heat...

It's brrrr cold in Cols, -20 with wind chill. Perfect day to spend
inside baking cookies with mum and relaxing in my room.

Not only did my pants turn out well enough to draw a couple of compliments,
but my extreme-last-minute tunic also kicked ass! I think I can cautiously
say that I have taken a couple of meaningful steps down the road of learning
how to sew. :)
Oh, and the party was fun, too. ;)

Will be through with pesky grading, once I muster up the will to get it
done today. 60 students whose fate hangs upon me! Bwahahahaaaa!

I'm happy because it's almost tax season (yes, I'm happy because of this!)..
Adrienne and I got screwed last year, but things are going for us this year...
instead of both claiming married with one deduction, we changed our
with-holding early this year to single with no deductions. Our income will
be down slightly, and we've got got a number of good deductions this year,
including $670 worth of stuff to goodwill (our tax advisor gave us a list with
acceptible deductions for individual items), and a Adrienne's classes are also
tax deductible (several thousand dollars this year).
At any rate, we're looking forward to a big fat tax refund to wipe out the
$3000 we still owe the government from *LAST* year.
Yay.

IHB I did a fun dance called "Toss the Wench". Apparently, Midair and I are
both so good at it that he threw me too *far*. Heh...was fun.

Today went well (ie fast) and I got stuff done. I was somewhat surprised to
find myself scheduled in all sorts of time slots I wasn't anticipating, but
it gives me extra hours and I like the shifts. I'll take it. I need food.
Classes are finished after tomorrow.

Grades turned in. I failed a record of 10 students this year... most of
whom decided to take Christmas break early, like September.
I smell like peaches.
