One thing we need to figure out is how to talk to Voayager. We have a real
honest to gosh contract with them, and presumably they have ways to get things
done even when Jared is out of town. It's great having Jared as a contact,
but he shouldn't be our only contact.

You should apoint someone as the primary contact person for dealing with
Voayager. Or maybe a finincial person and a technicial person.

Re #77: My experiecence suggests that in fact it would be unsurprising
if waiting for jered is a better approach than talking with the generic
tech support number.
I also find myself wondeirng if it would be sensible to keep the ISDN
line around as backup for times wehn the DSL is down. I believe telcos
are likely to bother to fix ISDN an order of magnitued faster than DSL
in the event that something breaks. You could also put the ISDN line
at the end of the hunt group, and plug modems into the POTS jacks on the ISDN
router (assuming it has them, but the $300 ISDN router I use has them),
so that when we aren't using the ISDN for the internet connection it isn't
wasted.

The Pipeline 50 doesn't have POTS jacks. It may be possible to get Ascend
to upgrade it to a Pipeline 75, which does. Or a 3Com Impact IQ could be used
for that purpose.

If we end up having to spend $350 to buy a better ISDN router but are then
able to cut two lines and save about $40 a month, that will pay for itself
in about 9 months.
However, if we look around enough we can probably get a router with POTS
jacks for much less.
Incidentally, I think Lucent bought Ascend.

Cutting two lines and keeping ISDN only saves $40/month if the ISDN line is
free. Still the idea makes sense if the ISDN ine is $40/mo or less.

By pure chance, I just found www.2wire.com. They list 33 DSL ISPs with 115
plans for Grex and me. Their database seems fairly complete, but the web
interface designer should be fired.
From what I could tell Voyager's prices were competive.
