Since I've been known to give rane a hard time now and then, I laud him for
getting the point of my post, which was to whom exactly does an athelete owe
his or her duty to perform. Glad to see others picking up on that theme as
well.

Well, an olympic athlete owes quite a bit to anyone that donates the funds
to sponsor them. They're encouraged to write back to all fan mail.

the only thing about the olympics that intrests me
is the snowboarding i don't care who wins...it's just
fun to watch. plus i hear that unlike the pole-up-the-ass
2 plankers and figgerskaters the boarders are TEARING up the
village at night.

Well, yea...Shani is like the Cuba Gooding character in Jerry Maguire and Chad
is like EVERY Tom Cruise character that can't squeeze out a humble grin
without looking totally baboon raped emotionally. I'm with Shani because he
was a sport and hugged his competitors while Chad pouted on the sidelines.
I understand that Chad was supposed to be team captain and felt betrayed
by Shani's withdrawal from the team relay but at the same time Chad has
some ego issues. I think they need to go camp up on Brokeback for a few

Oh man, I went and stayed at some hippies' house and they dont have a
TV so we couldnt watch the Olympics except for a couple of nights when
we stayed in a hotel. I have been missing out!
