At first glance I took more than Valerie, but upon closer inspection Valerie
and Popcorn add up to a higher number....

Has anyone else been on the receiving end of the trend for users to contact
you with a hwlp call and then tell you they were 'just testing the command'
or just 'trying out the system' ? It seems to be happening more often.

ANd lately I've been getting help seekers *right as I log in* -- so they don't
get answered until I get to my picospan prompt, which could be a few minutes
(at best) if it's a busy time of day....

I've had a couple of the "just trying the system" type, but not recently.
Recently it's been the ones who never respond when I reply to them. After
a couple of minutes of dead silence, I cut their connection myself, but it's
irritating.
*Conceivably* they're busy formulating a line, or net lag is to blame, but
it's happened to me when system performance is reasonably adequate.

I had another one yesterday asking how to change his account name. I'm a bit
tired of that question, after having answered it a few times, but this one
was quick to understand the issues, & (I'd said "only by taking out a new
account") considerately asked if that would cause any problems.

(I've been in a hurry lately, mostly turning off my helper flag. Not on that
much for some time now, anyway.)
