Close enough; still interested in details, but this probably isn't the time
or place to talk about it.

If compiles are a problem, then perhaps it would be better to restrict
compiler access to members and allow guests to request access to the
compiler.

Some things are never going to be considered when piped through the
Marcus filter.

Well, look at it this way. Eggdrop, once compiled, doesn't run here.
People occasionally leave it sitting around anyway. What makes you think
that they're more likely to delete it after discovering it won't compile?

But most of those people come to Grex strictly because they think they can
run eggdrop here. They try it, it doesn't work, and then they get reaped
early because they didn't stick around (there's a quicker reap for people who
make an account but then don't stick around longer than a day or two).

When someone creates an account how long do they have
(to log in again) before the account gets reaped?

3 weeks in the reap program I use, but STeve is the defintive source on
reaping.

Nice... I like it, although whoever writes the next response will probably
say something like "The first page has such a mean tone that it'll scare
people away."

Well, I think it could be toned down a litle, but I'm not going to try
right now.

Feels like there should be a smiley after "interested."
} 2) "bbs": Picospan and BackTalk allow users to "conference".
