Two years surrounded by midwestern "pop" cultists left me a tattered
shell of a once proud "Coke" (or was that "Soda"?...oh the agony)
user.

"Two years in merry Mary Markley" somehow disappeared from #75 in
the editing process :-)

Mark Koernke.
(Local note: his nephew is one of the finest guitarists to ever come out
of Ann Arbor)

Nephew now teaches at one of those fancy rock guitar colleges down in
Florida. In Ann Arbor he played with Madcat, The Urbations, The Killer
Trout, The Bats, J.D. Lamb and many others. He has impeccable technique,
an ability to play almost any style, and perfect pitch. I once did a show
where no one had a tuner, so I had him come up to the stage and sing us
all an "A".

I worked with a guy at Detroit Edison from Howell. He said there were
regulars at the local bar in that town and most of them considered the guy
a kook but "reasonable". SHyea...

Re #88: Not that I can tell. The only similarity I noticed was the report that
the uncle tried to fake an Irish accent when he was apprehended. His nephew
is also a natural mimic, so maybe it runs in the family.

"tried to fake" doesn't seem congruent with "natural mimic." An NM wouldn't
have to T.

Yeah, I didn't make my point very well. I should have said what runs in
the family is a smartass tendency toward fake accents, and the nephew was
much better at it.
